Oceanic Fire Waves In The Sky by RooCat Oceanic Fire Waves In The Sky by RooCat
The sky looks like waves of the ocean on fire or reflecting a very red sunset.

The clouds looked so like waves on the ocean it was unbelievable. I think if I could replace the red with blue you would swear it is ocean waves. Yes, a lava sea. I liked the suggestion I should have called it The Red Sea.

Lol, the Red Sea would be a good title too, especially since the sky looks like waves.

Thank you! :D

I didn't think of that but you are right Red Sea would have been a good alternative title because I did name it what I did since it did look like waves instead of clouds.

Lovely. An ocean of reds with wisps of sky colors.

Yes. :D Thank you. ;) The quality of the clouds was so like the waves of the ocean. I'd bet if I replaced the red with blue, it would look exactly like the ripples of waves.

Maybe even redder. I do not enhance color, use contrast or much of anything except resize and frame and maybe clone out a blurred bird. You can read about it here: [link] This photo was taken 2 minutes earlier the same evening.

I was not suggesting manipulation, it's just that I have never seen such a sky... :)

That's why I sent you the link since there are NOAA's links to their articles on the Science of Sunsets which explains when, where and why you get certain colors in sunsets including photographs examples. It comes down to clean air in the final analysis.
