:) I lost track of your gallery... fortunately I was soooo far behind that I still had some of your comments from over 2 months ago. I have a watch on you now so I will be able to view your spectacular sunsets as you load them. We will be out your way in a mere 2 months and are we looking forward to seeing it in person!!!

These types of pictures had to be my most favorite. I think it's just truly amazing how you can have those dark clouds with the orange clouds from the sun.

:D Thank you. It happens here all the time, :#1:Fan! As much as I like the red, orange streaky clouds, I like how the upper center clouds are beginning to turn red also.

:D Thank you, Bear. I really liked the juxtaposition of the dark clouds and the almost dreamy creamy fire colors with the fire creeping into the clouds at the top center.

The winds started last night as we are supposed to have 3 days of high winds, rain and a 30 degree temp drop. I decided to harvest your buckhorn since I don't know when the seed fruits normally fall off and while at it the segments as well. Mostly took new growing segments as I haven't a clue which root more easily. Red buck, purple stag and the gold buck plus some chain fruit cholla - it all seems to have hot pink flowers. I took fruit off several CFC plants of varing sizes but found that the smaller plants had larger fruits than the bigger! Of course, now that I've picked them probably none of the weather except what wind we've had will happen... You know, par for the course.

It is so incredibly beautiful. Sometimes out of the depth of trials & disasters (fires) beauty emerges.

It looks very beautiful, but I guess it's even more powerful when you see it live.

OK, yes, I guess it is when you consider how much of the sky it takes up compared to a photo. They all look rather different in person. ;)
